1) We are a non-profit organization on a very tight budget, can we afford this service?
Essential Learning's customers are non-profit organizations. We have pricing plans available to make e-learning affordable for all types of organizations. Most customers find that the savings produced from adding e-learning offsets the cost of the system. Fees are calculated on a per employee basis and remain the same throughout the contract term unless there is a significant change in the number of employees. There is also a set-up fee of $2,500 that covers implementation and customization of your site and training your staff on how to use it. Subscription fees may be paid quarterly or annually. Additional discounts are available when fees are paid annually. If your organization is a member of one of our partner organizations you are entitled to discounted rates.

2) What is included in our subscription fees?

3) What is included in our set-up fees?
Our implementation fee is all inclusive – no hidden costs:

  • Set-up includes custom site development, loading student data, and staff training

  • Development of an implementation plan based on your specific needs

  • Assistance setting up training competencies

4) How long does it take to implement the Essential Learning system?
A typical implementation takes approximately six weeks. The implementation process is customized for each customer and varies depending on the customer’s needs and resources that may be available to commit to this process. As part of implementation, we help you design an organizational training plan with timelines and provide all necessary training and support materials such as employee communications and training guides.

5) Can we up-load our own reference materials to each course?
The course guide feature will allow you to independently load complementary information for each course. You can load policies and procedures, reference materials, links and other documents that can accompany your courses.

6) Do we have the ability to survey our employees?
Yes, Essential Learning allows you to survey your employees both confidentially or non-confidentially. This tool is helpful in quickly gathering information from your employees.

7) Are all of the courses in your library or just a selection included in the cost of our annual subscription?
Essential Learning pricing is straightforward and includes our entire course library and related CEU’s representing approximately 400 courses. Our course library is the most robust and comprehensive in the industry with new courses added every month. More than 70% of the courses feature interactive training vs. articles and ‘page turner type’ read only courses. Check out the course library to review our offerings and more details.

8) Do you have reporting capabilities that will allow us to develop target training and identify staff training needs?
Essential Learning provides you with both an item analysis and training effectiveness functionality. These reports will help target training needs and analyze on training effectiveness.

9) Can we customize reports and manipulate our own data to meet internal or external reporting requirements?
Yes, you can download most reports into CSV files or spreadsheets to re-organize or structure your reports. You can also access your database and use industry standard reporting tools to develop your own reports.

10) What if we want to terminate our agreement?
Our membership agreement has a no fault termination clause so a provider can terminate at any time. All Essential Learning membership agreements include a termination “without cause” clause which supports our high level of focus on being an e-learning service company.

11) How do you ensure customer satisfaction?
We have dedicated customer relations staff that monitors customer satisfaction. We do routine surveys and course evaluations, monitor system utilization trends and work directly with customers to address utilization issues and provide additional training if needed.

12) What customer support do you have available?
We have live customer support staff available by phone from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. You can also email support@essentiallearning.com and we guarantee a respond within 24 hours. Coming soon, a members only site dedicated to offering resources and a place to network with other Essential Learning customers.

13) Can you provide customer references in our region?
We are the only human service e-learning provider that posts every organization we work with on our website. Please feel free to contact any of our customers to check their level of satisfaction and how they use our system.

14) Do you hold regular user group meetings?
We sponsor at least one large annual user group meeting and hold multiple regional user group meetings in conjunction with our association partners or state level conferences. We also hold targeted user group meetings in response to customer needs or requests.

15) What is your financial status and legal history?
Essential Learning is financially healthy and has no past or current litigation issues.
